Police Officer Trainee

Earn up to $90,564 / Year

Under the direction of a police supervisor, participate in a P.O.S.T.-certified police academy training program. Learn and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to become a sworn police officer, and complete all related activities and tests. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experienced Police Officer

Earn up to $121,200 / Year
+ up to $30,000 hiring bonus

The fundamental reason for the existence of this classification is to enforce Federal, State and local laws and to respond to calls for the protection of life and property. Under general supervision, to perform law enforcement and crime prevention work; to control traffic flow and enforce state and local traffic regulations; and to do related work as required.

Central Marin Police Authority

The Central Marin Police Authority is a full-service police agency for the communities of Larkspur, Corte Madera, and San Anselmo comprising of approximately 35,000 residents. The communities consolidated police services in January 2013 under a Joint Powers Agreement. The Central Marin Police Authority is comprised of 50 full-time employees including 42 Police Officers, 1 Public Safety Records/Evidence Supervisor, 3 Records Specialists, 1 Property Technician, and 2 Community Service Officers.
